How to get involved

The purpose of Metro Music Ministry is to glorify God by providing God exalting music for the growth and encouragement of the body of Christ.  Our goal and focus, while on the Lord, is to enable the congregation to sing!  "God inhabits the praises of His people."  In leading worship, it is easy to fall into the trap of performing, and mistaking the purpose of the leadership role. Our goal is to worship so joyfully and excellently that our worship would be INFECTIOUS to those who we are leading.  The role of leading worship is one of service to the body and to the Lord.
Therefore, here is what we ask of you before you lead others in worship:

1. Become a member.  Come to our “Metrolife” Membership class to learn more about the church and its direction.
2. Begin to serve in an area that in “unseen”.  This is simply to protect you and your heart.  Because you are a given a platform of service that is visible and seen, we are asking you to serve in an area that is unseen before and alongside your ministry of Lead Worshiper to the Body. 
3. Participate in a music audition.  You can email Mike Newman at mnewman@metrobible.org.  During the audition, you’ll be invited to share whatever ways God has gifted you musically.
4. Wait for an invitation. Those who audition will receive a letter informing them of possible areas of service, and in most cases will be called upon to serve as opportunities become available.
